Optimism

Tenth day of this year’s National Poetry Writing Month. Today's’ prompt is to take any random song play list (from your iPod, CD player, favorite radio station, Pandora or Spotify, etc.) and use the next five song titles on that randomized list in a poem. 

I used the prompt with a little variation. I listened to only two songs in loop as they were in my playlist – Jeene De from Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and Kun Faaya Kun from Rockstar and made the poem after listening to first stanza of each song.

 

always remember god comes calling is emptiness

tightly holds your hand, 

welcomes you with open arms

whenever you are sad

always keep walking

never stop in the way,

have it in your attitude,

never die you say,

it comes searching you with gratitude,

influence your destiny that way
